Did you know that the Wells House & Gardens animal farm is home to so many furry friends?
Why not visit us and come and say hello to our Pygmy Goats, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Budgies, Meerkats and more!
Part of the fun when visiting Wells House and Gardens is a visit to the Animal Farm where you will meet our cute and cuddly residents. We also offer two great experiences that are available to book as an add on to your visit to the farm – Our Meet the Meerkat Experience and our Exotic Animal Encounter! Need help booking? Come meet our meerkat mob at Wells House and Gardens for an unforgettable and fun experience for all the family!
Would you like to hang out with these curious creatures while they scamper around your feet?
- You will give them some of their favourite tasty treats and play with them with their favourite toys.
- You will learn some fun facts and get the chance to ask any questions with the member of staff.
- Don’t forget their favourite activity – posing for selfies on your lap while eating tasty treats!
- Please note - There will be a health and safety talk before the start of the experience and please be sure to wear the appropriate clothing as per our ticket details! This experience is not suitable for under 5's.
Exotic Animal Encounter
Step back in time and meet our prehistoric gentle giants. This experience is one of a kind and the closest you will ever come to racoons. Your family will have the chance to get up close and meet our mischievous racoon, Bonnie, then spend some time with Crush and Squirt our super cute Tortoises.
During the Exotic animal encounter, you will learn about how the animals are looked after here in Wells, along with how to care for them!
You will get the chance to meet, feed and bath our giant tortoise and share a biccy with our cheeky racoons.
There is lots to learn and time for asking questions about both species, and of course the obligatory selfie or family pic to keep this special memory forever.
Before the experience starts there will be a health & safety talk and be sure to wear the appropriate clothing as per our ticket details! This experience is not suitable for under 5's.

It was our first visit to Wells house and we are from Wexford! We found the staff very friendly and accommodating even though we were a few minutes late for the 2pm tour.
Edel our tour guide was very knowledgeable, informative and made the tour really enjoyable. It’s amazing the way the locals protected the house during 1798 it shows how much they admired and respected the Doyne family.

We are currently developing beautiful new walks through the Magic Woods of Wells House & Gardens, which children and teachers can enjoy on their visit. Our Adventure Playground is perfect for letting the kids work off some energy before getting back on the bus. All our packages offer free playtime for all.
