Mrs Stone’s Restaurant
Until April we only serve hot drinks and snacks on Mondays and Tuesdays and resume full restaurant service Wednesday to Sunday.
Mrs Stone, a cook from the Wells kitchen in the late 1800s was a breath of fresh air on the estate and was also here at the time of Lady Frances, so we thought it fitting to name our restaurant after such a positive influence.
Our team of in house chefs, like Mrs Stone are passionate about delivering top class food for children and adults alike and use only the best ingredients such as our farm-to-fork Wells House beef and the Meylers fish that makes up our famously delicious seafood chowder! All of our desserts are homemade and change daily for that little surprise.
Our menu also changes on a regular basis so we may select the best produce from each season, creating the most beautiful dishes for you to enjoy.
Did you know: Two of the dishes in our restaurant are from Mrs Stone’s cookbook – the Beef Rissoles and our tasty, homemade Ginger Cake.

We work with other passionate foodies throughout the county such as Pat O’Neills Bacon, Richie Doyle & Sons Butchers, Meylers Fish, Home Preserves, Naturally Cordial, Scup Ice-Cream, Green’s Berry Farm & Ballycross Apple Farm – combining the highest quality of ingredients to deliver a yummy, memorable taste experience.
