Step back in time and meet our prehistoric gentle giants. This experience is one of a kind and the closest you will ever come to racoons. Your family will have the chance to get up close and meet our mischievous racoons, Bonnie and Rocket, then spend some time with Crush and Squirt our super cute Tortoises.

During the Exotic animal encounter, you will learn about how the animals are looked after here in Wells, along with how to care for them!
You will get the chance to meet and feed our giant tortoise and share a biccy with our cheeky racoons.
There is lots to learn and time for asking questions about both species, and of course the obligatory selfie or family pic to keep this special memory forever.

Before the experience starts there will be a health & safety talk and be sure to wear the appropriate clothing as per our ticket details!

Would you like to hang out with these curious creatures while they scamper around your feet?

You will give them some of their favourite tasty treats and play with them with their favourite toys.
You will learn some fun facts and get the chance to ask any questions with the member of staff.
Don’t forget their favourite activity – posing for selfies on your lap while eating tasty treats!
There will be a health and safety talk before the start of the experience and please be sure to wear the appropriate clothing as per our ticket details!

Discover the 400-year-old history of our 17th Century House by taking a guided tour of the house. Our living house tour and expert guide hosts the tour in Victorian dress. Hear the stories of the house from Cromwell, Rebellions and the Famine and to the transformation of the house in the 1830s to the structure you see today with the magnificent ground floor and bedrooms.  Learn of everyday lives of the wealthy and powerful families who lived in the estate and their famed architect Daniel Robertson.  The tour promises to give you a unique insight into the lives of previous generations all the way up until the current owners.
